It's very important to find a therapist that has the skills and shares a philosophy of wellness that can help you reach and maintain your health goals.
I earned my CMT credentials in 1995 at Healing Arts Institute under the direction of James Malley, ND. Healing Arts is a leader in the industry and is known for its excellence in education and preparation of massage therapists. I am very proud to be a graduate of Healing Arts, whose motivation truly is health and wellness for all. I have added a link to their web site for your research convenience.
Certified and armed with anatomy, physiology and business protocol I began my journey with a principal to help and do no harm. Those tools have lead me to over 12,000 hours of practical experience that I draw from and add to daily.
While maintaining a private practice I have had the pleasure of working with some of the best that this country has to offer. My mentors include Chiropractic, Physical Therapists, and Spa’s. My clients range from injured, acute and chronic pain, repetitive stress, fine-tuning athletes and of course those just looking for a much needed nap.
I am dedicated to continuing education, raising the bar of massage effectiveness, and the pursuit for quality of life. My most recent endeavor was a 1600 hour course in Cosmetology. I passed my state board test February 2007. Although I still have a clinical approach, I will be adding spa services to aid in the healing and connective processes of mind and body.
I now focus exclusively on my private practice in Folsom. I have just completed two years strong in Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, also known as "The deepest, most luxurious massage on the planet". I am one of only 4 out of 77 California AOBT graduates who have completed the final mastery of all levels. Please click on Massage Techniques or the AOBT site link for more information.
I am often asked if I get massage? The answer is yes, not as often as I should but I love all types of bodywork. Ideally, on the last day of my life I would like to receive a massage and then I would like to give one. I really do love my work, and I hope you will also.
